The Tambov Region has demonstrated high results in the all‑Russian rating of tourist attractiveness: 6th place among the regions of the Central Federal District and 16th place nationwide.
The study was conducted jointly by:

International Analytical Center for Sustainable Tourism Development of the RUDN University Higher School of Management;

the tourist platform "Let's go!".
The regions were assessed according to 50 criteria, grouped into 6 thematic blocks:

The scale of the tourism industry and the intensity of the tourist flow is an analysis of the volume of tourist flow and the development of the industry in the region.

Infrastructure and resource availability — assessment of the available material and technical base for the reception of tourists.

The availability of attractions and the accessibility of recreation — taking into account the cultural and historical potential and opportunities for different formats of recreation.

Tourist attractiveness management is the effectiveness of measures to promote the region as a tourist destination.

Safety and risk management — the level of safety for tourists and a system for minimizing potential threats.

Transportation opportunities and tourist infrastructure — accessibility of the region for travelers and the quality of infrastructure in popular holiday destinations.
The tourism industry in the Tambov region is being developed with the support of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".
