The Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia

At the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, 2026 was declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The strategic objective of the coming Year is to strengthen interethnic harmony, friendly ties and mutual understanding between all ethnic groups of the multinational country. The policy is based on the principle of a combination: preserving the unique identity of each nation while unconditionally strengthening the all–Russian civic identity.
